Our test system is a middle-class laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS cpu. Its TDP is only 35W.
The performance measure includes a client program feeding our AI-trained server, making this a real-world test with performance measure relevant to our customers.
Communicating between the client and server programs using shared memory reduces latency but also cpu costs.
Thanks to this interface, we now push the test system to its limits and process a continuous stream of at least 3GB/s.
We are talking about a laptop with a 35W cpu doing all the processing and using less than 1GB RAM and no graphic card.
